Welcome Parents! Your student will be taking
Civics at SWJH this year. In order for
the school year to run smoothly please be aware of what is expected to be
successful in this classroom. If at any time you have
questions or concerns…please feel free to contact me at any time at jstorts@sdale.org or call 750-8849 and
leave a message. Topics of Importance: 1. Textbooks are provided for your student for
the length of the class. These are
passed out at the beginning of the course.
They are to brought to class on a daily
basis. 2. Students have three days to turn in work for
excused absence (sick, etc). It is the
student’s responsibility to get all of their make-up work. 3. SWJH’s ZAP: students are allowed three days to turn in
work that was not completed by the due date for 70% credit. It is their responsibility to get the work
needed ahead of time. This policy will
be enforced in the classroom. 4. Your student should be filling out their
Agenda each day. The Agenda
objectives cover the assignment/due date of homework, tests and other
activities. 5. It’s important that your child attends
school each day. Many students have
great difficulty getting back on track with missing work, class lectures,
etc. This website
