This is the basic form for taking 2 Column Notes, AKA Cornell Notes. You can use them to study, too!

MAIN IDEAS Format (The way to take 2 column notes.) Studying W/2 Col Notes

DETAILS Fold paper into 3 up and down columns, draw a line on the first fold. Main ideas on left side, details on right. Main ideas come from subtitles, vocab and italicized words, reading paragraphs. Short and To the Point = TERSE! Use only one side of paper. Cover right side of page, ask questions and definitions from main ideas, uncover to see if you’re right! Also, paper can be folded over right side for same effect. Study notes every night for As on tests!
